A House of Cards

a) A trick made by a talented card stacker?
b) A famous Netflix Series
c) The Project Portfolio Management at your company?
Your best bet:
1)Gather: ideas, uncompleted initiatives, unheard voices, unsold solutions. Seek participation from impacted areas of the enterprise.
2)Strategize: based on safety, based on market and enterprise opportunity windows, based on scarce resource available, based on time to put-on-production and time to go-to-market, based on financial thresholds. Weight benefits from the mix of options.
3)Select: initiatives that separate from the rest in backing up your enterprise mission, vision, and values for the long run. Use the 80/20 rule.
4)Execute: select a Project Manager with a natural craving to seek understanding of the pulling forces in a project rather than a “box checker” person.
5)Monitor: Promote sincere report outs. Avoid watermelon projects.
